You Can Help!
Here's what you can do.
First, spread the word about this website! The EBRPD is illegally spending hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money to advertise Measure WW -- so we need your help to fight back. Tell your friends, family, and co-workers about NoOnMeasureWW.org. Help spread the word on email lists and Internet forums. Put this in your signature:
East Bay Parks for people, not trucks and cattle! http://www.NoOnMeasureWW.org
Second, register to vote if you haven't already. You must be registered in Alameda or Contra Costa County to vote on Measure WW. Your registration must be postmarked no later than October 20, 2008. Please don't leave it until the last minute.
Third, send your EBRPD director a letter (or email, but written letters are taken much more seriously) explaining why you are voting against Measure WW. You only need to send one letter -- to the director who represents your district. Click here to find out which director represents you: the district map is at the bottom of the page.
Fourth, help us distribute flyers, stickers, and yard signs. Thanks to donations we've already received, our site is paid for and our first batch of flyers is being printed -- but the East Bay is huge, and we need more...
Last, donate to us if you can. We can print flyers, bumper stickers, yard signs, and even buy newspaper advertisements -- but none of this can happen without more money. 100% of your donations will go towards publicity efforts: none of us will ever take any money for our time and effort on this campaign. In the unlikely event we have any money left over at the end, we'll donate it to charity. (Got a charity suggestion? Let us know through the Feedback/Contact Us page.)
We take donations through Paypal only. Since these donations go 100% to direct political advocacy, they are not tax deductible.
Remember: we're just East Bay voters with day jobs, and we need your help to get this information out to everyone.
Thank you for your support, and for helping us spread the word.
Special thanks to those who have already donated.
